Internships

All positions are unpaid and part-time (maximum of 20 hours per week).

Fundraising Intern

The New Orleans Abortion Fund is seeking an intern to:

  • Assist with event management and logistics

  • Create communications, including solicitation and acknowledgement letters

  • Update and maintain our donor database, Salsa Labs

  • Provide general administrative support

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in promoting a progressive vision rooted in the NOAF's mission and core values that center equity

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a remote environment

  • Must be proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office

  • Experience with data management and donor databases preferred

  • Able to work independently, as well as on teams, and to see projects through to completion

  • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability

Communications Intern

The New Orleans Abortion Fund is seeking an intern to:

  • Develop and execute social media strategy on numerous platforms

  • Create visual assets including social media graphics and print materials

  • Support the communications team and the broader NOAF team as needed, including event support, fundraising, and advocacy projects

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in promoting a progressive vision rooted in the NOAF's mission and core values that center equity

  • Experience in social media campaigns as a vehicle for social change

  • Strong writing skills and capacity to translate messages for different audiences

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Squarespace preferred

  • Must be proficient in Facebook, Instagram, Google Drive and Microsoft Office

  • Able to work independently, as well as on teams, and to see projects through to completion

  • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability
