Internships

All positions are unpaid and part-time (maximum of 20 hours per week).

Client Data Intern

The New Orleans Abortion Fund is seeking an intern to assist with:

  • Data Entry: Manually entering raw data from paper records into electronic system
  • Developing visual interpretations of the data
  • Supporting the Client Services Program Manager and NOAF Administration with identifying and developing an electronic record keeping system and data analysis
  • Assist with creating deliverables such as annual financial reports and advocacy tools from the data

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in promoting a progressive vision rooted in the NOAF's mission and core values that center equity
  • Experience in data management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a remote environment
  • Experience with Google Drive; Salesforce CRM; Excel/SPSS/or other data analysis program preferred
  • Self-managed; acceptance of personal responsibility for results and own success; requires limited oversight, but able to communicate effectively with team members
  • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability

Fundraising Intern

The New Orleans Abortion Fund is seeking an intern to assist with:

  • Assist with event management and logistics
  • Create communications, including solicitation and acknowledgement letters
  • Update and maintain our donor database, Salsa Labs
  • Provide general administrative support 
  • Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in promoting a progressive vision rooted in the NOAF's mission and core values that center equity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a remote environment
  • Must be proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with data management and donor databases preferred
  • Able to work independently, as well as on teams, and to see projects through to completion
  • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability
