Hungry for increased access to comprehensive reproductive health services? ..or tacos? We all win the Taco or Beer Challenge when we donate to abortion funds. This year the New Orleans Abortion Fund is doing something different! To make things more interesting, we are taking pledges for our Taco-Thon! You all know how a Walk-A-Thon works, right? This time we enlisted the help of a little friendly competition and are pledging for the number of tacos supporters can consume in our annual taco eating contest. What's a taco worth to you? Pledge any amount per taco consumed by your contestant and see how they do!

Join NOAF, Lift Louisiana, National Council of Jewish Women and Planned Parenthood of Gulf Coast for brunch on Sunday, August 26 at Propeller from 12 - 2pm as we hold a national day of action to unite for justice.
Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh is an immediate threat to our hard-won fundamental rights and freedoms. We invite you to join us and people across the country as we rise up to demand that our Senators stop Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, and protect our most fundamental rights. Everyone agrees: the balance of the Supreme Court is on the line with this lifetime appointment.
In October 2017 NOAF made its 1,000th pledge. In March we marked the two-year anniversary of providing weekly escort services at our partner clinic in New Orleans. To celebrate these milestones and the dedication of our volunteers and supporters, NOAF will host our inaugural circus-themed Gala on June 16th, 2018. With food, music and circus performances included, the event will be filled with delight and mystery.
All proceeds will go directly to our fund in order to support those who are unable to afford the cost of an abortion in Louisiana, a cost which is on average twice that of the national and in a state with largest income gap between men and women.
To buy a ticket, head to our gala page.
Why a Game-a-Thon? Nationally, abortion funds gather in April to compete in bowl-a-thons (hence all the bowling images on our page!) But NOAF was turned away from the popular local bowling alley because they would not support our cause. Undeterred, we got creative and instead brought our fierce competition and thirst for reproductive justice to Shamrock for a beer/ping-pong, billiards, darts, and games tournament. Of course, there are costumes and prizes!
What do I have to do? Get your friends together (teams of 3-6), pick a great team name, and raise some money! You can email, facebook, tweet, ask in person, anything you want. People donate on your personal page, and the money goes straight to clients in need. Then, we all get together at Shamrock to party!
